So when I finally got home and looked at all the possible sites to see what I could find out about it. Engadget, Gizmodo, Youtube, Apple etc. At first I was truly overwhelmed, this was many things that I thought I wouldn't see today at 3:30 when I got home. So marvelling at all of these amazing new ideas i thought to myself, "What about all the things that I thought I would see?" Retina display, iOs 4.3 having multi-touch gestures, larger screen to name a few. I originally thought that I would buy myself one and after thinking about all of these, I have decided that I probably going to save. But not with the utmost energy, just kinda plodding along. However just as I was writing that last sentence I thought that when I end up saving like that it usually take such a long time that I completely miss this generation and have enough at the next. The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-73124223565667444682011-02-23T06:18:00.000-08:002011-02-23T06:48:59.303-08:00My LA projectThis is the short video that I made for my LA project on the short story "A Sound Of Thunder<br /><br />For some reason, my blog is cutting off my movie.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiBkw_Ha-18">HERE</a> is a direct link to my movie on youtube.<br /><br /><iframe title="YouTube video player" width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oiBkw_Ha-18?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-59450720218357054462011-02-05T22:42:00.000-08:002011-02-05T22:47:38.101-08:00Pictures of my Arm<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiUExoAl7vEQASsgwykgS4lRjC45jnYgFO6QukZw46Gp-W2hBK3S7-F_qpP928_pGAAyg_C8n6-eMZzXepnfcyAsPggrO0w8mUzAWRlthvDw5PR89jqTvbPXIZ7FySAX7pBiVepsyQn_Y/s1600/2010-06-28-21.49.41.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiUExoAl7vEQASsgwykgS4lRjC45jnYgFO6QukZw46Gp-W2hBK3S7-F_qpP928_pGAAyg_C8n6-eMZzXepnfcyAsPggrO0w8mUzAWRlthvDw5PR89jqTvbPXIZ7FySAX7pBiVepsyQn_Y/s320/2010-06-28-21.49.41.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5570464454207977810" /></a><br />This picture<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> is the one that best describe what my arm looked like.</span>The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-74186551938639136242011-02-05T22:06:00.000-08:002011-10-29T18:49:13.385-07:00Good To Be BackWoah, has it been a while since i have done a blog post. But now I am going to be getting into the swing of things again and update at least three times a week.<br /><br />Since my last post at the apple store in West Edmonton Mall TONS of things have happened! Starting off with the first major event since then, I broke my arm this summer, but not on just any day. This day was 8 hours after i had been let out of school for the summer, so there went my entire summer. The break I might add was very bad. I broke the radius (the larger arm in your arm) clean through near the wrist and the ulna (the other bone) in two spots. Not to mention how when the radius broke the part closer to the wrist went underneath the other part bending my arm 3/4 of the way down my arm and making it look like a "C". I will upload the pictures to the post after this. So two hours later I am waking up from the sedative after they (doctors) pulled my arm apart and moved it sideways back together. Not only did this prevent me from MTB biking but I was also about to be on a special golf team, so there goes that opportunity. Fast forward the rest of the summer and one more of those events where the doctors pull your arm apart and move it back together (by the way it is called a "closed reduction") I got my cast off just in time to go back to school.<br /><br />So now it is school time and since my cast I have started running again, and I was having so much fun so I joined the X/C running team at school. This was going great I was improving my time nearly every practice. We were waiting until zone championships on October first. So many practices gone by and it is time for zones. It was a 1 hour drive out to the trails at dreamers lake and I was PUMPED! After waiting for everyone else's' sections to go, my section started and we were off and running. I had a great pace and minus the hills I was doing great, but then at the 2.5 kilometre mark I tripped on a root and hurt my knee (which landed on another rather large root). This really buggered up my knee and has been hurting ever since. But about 1 month ago it brought my other knee into the hurt and then I started to get worried that something was seriously wrong. so I iced it whenever it hurt and just waited it out. Ignoring these pains I decided to join the basketball team, which I absolutely loved. But late this january I was playing king of the hill and I fell right onto my arm that I broke and hurt it again. Thinking that it might be broken Mom booked a doctors appointment. When I went I decided to tell him about my knees as-well (Turns out my arm was just badly sprained). The doctor touched my patella and asked me if it hurt and I said "yes" then right away he said that I had Osgood Schlatters disease. This is a disease where your growth plate under the patella is inflamed and needs to die and then grow back. The only cure for this is rest and also to be resting for about three months so good bye basket ball, see you next year. This was about two weeks ago and I have been in agony for not being able to play basket ball. Oh well...<br /><br />However to this post there is something that is very positive. In a post a while Back when I said that I was fed up with PC's and wanted a Mac. My dream finally came true, Twice! For my birthday in 2010 I got an iPad (which in my daily Phoenix post I made clear that I wanted). It sure was a good thing I had it because last summer would have been a lot more boring with out it. Also fro having great marks in school and for doing other technology and school related things, my parents (just tonight) bought me a 13" MacBook Pro. I absolutely love it and can't wait to see what potential this can bring.<br /><br />Well I think that this is enough rambling for tonight so, Good Bye!The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-84024393885443484992010-04-27T11:02:00.000-07:002010-04-27T11:05:52.570-07:00Awesomethis is sooooo awesome!!!! I'm typing this blog post from the apple store in west edmonton mall. I love the bluetooth keyboard and the magic mouse that come with the iMac that I am using! and I have reached the verdict that instead of getting a white macbook I will now get a macbook pro for an extra 100 dollars. I feel AWESOME typing on this! The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-20875330035927466002010-04-21T19:09:00.000-07:002010-04-21T19:35:00.929-07:00Daily Journal 04-21-10Today was one of favourite days yet, because dad and I went out and played one of our most favourite sports, golf. And I shot my best bad scorre yet, 21 over par for 9 holes. Something that was sort of amusing and different at the golf course was at the first tee there was a sign that said "beware of rattle snakes!" what we are used to at the dunes is beware of bears, just a little different. Although we never managed to se one. Here is a good link for a picture of the sign, http://www.flickr.com/photos/47307909@N02/4542286282/. I never thought that I would say this in Phoenix but today ti got soo windy I got cold! So then I came home and had a nap under a warm blanket. The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-53760656317760612302010-04-20T20:50:00.000-07:002010-04-20T21:06:50.543-07:00Daily journal 04-20-10Today was quite a pleasant day, we got up did work then we played in the pool. After lunch and playing in the pool some more my grampa my dad and I went to the rental car place to rent a car for my grampa. He got a Toyota sienna and it has all the AWESOME bells and whistles. From the backseat behind the driver I can control the AC and the heat, AWESOME!!! And it has built in sun-screens in the windows, it also has rear windows that go down and they go down automatically I've never seen that in a van. I can also control how much legroom for the second row and the most room is probably 3 feet, it feels soo good. To make the day even better our grandparents are here and they made the day even better.:-)The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-18376217668503552512010-04-19T15:22:00.000-07:002010-04-19T15:25:41.815-07:00Daily Journal 04-19-10Today was exactly like yesterday except for these two things. 1) we started today off with homework and 2) our gram and grampa are coming today, sooooo exciting! I guess because there hasn't really been anything exciting, that is all for today. ByeThe Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-52010909058693254522010-04-18T14:22:00.000-07:002010-04-18T14:31:38.999-07:00Daily Journal 04-18-10Today was almost exactly like yesterday, except I didn't get sunburnt. And today for the last 2-3 hours it has been just my dad, Spencer and I hanging out at the house while my mom, my auntie, Pep and Ashten are grocery shopping. Two very enjoyable things about this are I have been playing with my mom's iPad the entire time and plan to continue until she gets home, and I don't have to be shopping This blog post is early for the reason I probably won't bother typing it tonight (even though I'm allowed to do it on my mom's iPad) and what we have done for the first half of the day will mirror what we do for the rest of the day. And really all we have done is relax in and by the pool and relax in the house. Being able to sum up our whole day in one sentence tells me that it is time to finish this hot post, bye :). Oh no, the AC just shut off, oh well :(The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-71576064433994495912010-04-17T19:26:00.000-07:002010-04-17T19:44:22.337-07:00Daily Journal 04-17-10Today was a very nice day. Espcially because our cousins came here to visit us last night, and because it is my sisters 8th birthday. The majority of our day was spent in and by the pool. Most of this time was very nice, but for the last 20 minutes of being outdide and me sun-tanning I got a tremendous sunburn. Luckily when we went to the Dominican republic in may of 2008 my mom discovered that putting coconut oil on sunburn really helps aid in the healing, so I got lathered up in that and it smells good to boot. So anyways I got lathered up in oil that then we ate a very good supper, chili cheese dogs, Mmmmmmm! After that we went swimming again and I got lathered up in coconut oil and we went for a nice walk. Then that brings us to now with me typing this journal, again, on my mom's iPad and my cosines Spencer watching videos on my moms iPod my sister and my cousin Ashten putting stickers in a book my dad, auntie and my mom reading. And once again I will tell you when it is set up what the link to my flickr page is.The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-1962852457402879882010-04-16T16:15:00.000-07:002010-04-16T16:57:38.290-07:00Daily Journal 04-16-10Yet again I am sorry that I have not been making journal entries fr the last few days. I have not been very busy, frankly I've just been very lazy. We haven't been doing very much stuff except go to the Phoenix zoo and do more shopping and go to bestbuy today. But I will get to all of those things later.<br />For now I will just be talking about today. So here is the journal for today;<br />This morning we got up and ate breakfast, then we went on today's shopping excursion. This of all our shopping excursions was one of the most disappointing for my mom and the most exciting for me. The reason being for my side is we went to best buy and they had the thing that I have wanted to try since January 27 2010. The iPad! So I got to try out all of the special iPad features. But this is where the story gets very exciting, my dad bought an iPad for my mom! I love the iPad, and I have used it about 10 times more than my mom (whose of which the iPad is) and as a matter of fact I am typing this entry from her iPad. <br /> Ok, so now that the best part of my day has been covered I will get in to what else we did today. Before we went to the best Best Buy I've ever been to we went to two stores, Last Chance and Marshalls. Going to Last Chance was quite the journey, being that what Last Chance does is take any kind of clothing of accsesory as a return and then sells it on the rack no matter how used. This was interesting, another thing in Last Chance is that it is veeeeeery busy. The line-up to buy your things went all the way around the store! So therefore we did not buy anything, but there was the Marshalls that was right beside Last Chance and that was very impressive. Everything was very cheap. When we went to the Nike store at the Arizona Mills mall there was very nice Nike swimming goggles that wre 21 dollars, at marshals they were 5.99! So we got those and mom and dad got more clothes. After that we came back home and just relaxed. Mom and Pep had a nap (and pep is still sleeping) and dad and I played with Moms iPad. This brings us to now with pep and now dad sleeping, me typing and mom making chili. We are all waiting anxiously for our cousins Ashten and Spencer come to visit us for this week. One sad thing about the week though is that it is our last week :-(<br /><br />Now I will be talking about our trip to the zoo on Tuesday, and to make tying easier I will be typing as if we went to the zoo today, just an f.y.i.<br />Today was a very fun day, we went to the Phoenix zoo which houses lots and lots of animals, including wild ones that aren't even supposed to be there. Most of which we crows ducks and I think that the turtles in every body of water were wild. In this entry for the sake of time I will just be covering the most important things. The best part of the zoo was when we got to feed the giraffes. Their tongues are black and very strong. That was the most important thing I find and I will be talking more about the zoo later Nd uploading photos to a yet to be created flickr account. I will keep you posted.<br />ByeThe Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-40162221999119969302010-04-09T19:47:00.000-07:002010-04-09T20:03:14.858-07:00Daily Journal 04-09-10Today was a very laid back day. We got up this morning and ate breakfast then did work. After that we laid by and played in the pool for the rest of the day until supper, which was awesome. It was chicken, baked potatoes and the stems of broccoli, mmmmmmm. Oh and while we were by the pool we saw more hummingbirds and figured out what the vultures we saw and saw again today are called, turkey vultures. Then we went for a nice walk around the lake that is by the Estrella Mountain ranch community center. On the walk we saw lots of dead fish, yuk! After that 2.48 kilometer walk around the lake we drove over to the new developments by ours and saw only a handful of houses. Then we drove home which brings us to now watching TV.The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-89041813724886987702010-04-08T18:57:00.000-07:002010-04-08T19:27:42.545-07:00Daily Journal 04-08-10i just saw something very interesting on the news that I have to write about. As I was walking inside from playing in the pool I looked at the TV the news was on. The story on the news was that there is a new law that hasn't been set by the governor in Arizona but was introduced. The law is that people in Arizona over the age of 21 are legally allowed to carry guns without a permit. I personally think that this is a terrible law. Because there will be a lot more crimes and shootings. I also don't this law to be implemented in the next month because of course I'm here and I don't want to get shot while I'm on vacation!<div>But I could be ok with this law as long as I'm not in this state. A way that this law could be good for the state is if they train and hire more police officers. This has two advantages to the state, one is that there is more officers to catch more criminals, and two is it could be part of the economic recovery being that more jobs would be provided and more would be employed. That is a win-win!<br /><div><div><br /></div></div></div>The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-9155906212416395792010-04-07T18:43:00.000-07:002010-04-07T20:33:51.732-07:00Daily Journal 04-07-10Sorry I have not been journalling for the last three days. My thought ever since I started to journal was I will write down all of the days events and then edit and publish the post in the night. But I have failed to do this. So I will be doing today's journal and give the most important events of the past few days. This is today's;<div>This was a very awesome day as we went outlet shopping, but when I woke up I was not in the mood to go shopping as I could not open my eyes they were so goopy and I could not swallow my mouth was so dry. I have for the last day felt like I was catching the cold that my sister had in the previous days. But once I got out of bed and started to wake up I felt a little better (The Advil and allergy medicine also helped!). Then we ate breakfast and off to the city of Anthem 45 minutes and 54 miles away for the outlets! The outlets had three nice things right off the bat. The fact that the parking was shaded, between every store you had to walk outside and last but not least they had my favourite store, Quicksilver. So I immediately wanted to stay for a while! And we did as we got there at 10 o'clock and then left around 2:30. I had bought 5 t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts and 6 pairs of socks. Very awesome!! Then we made the 45 minute and 54 mile drive back to Goodyear and relaxed as Dad made burgers that tasted out of this world!! Then we had a nice relaxing time in the pool. which brings us to now which is all of us laying lazily on the couch.</div><div><br /></div><div>The last few days of non-journalling;</div><div>On Sunday we went to the outlets at Arizona mills and got a few things. For the next two days we went on an we on an awesome walk and we saw vultures on the mountain and bald eagles on the mountain as well. That brings us to today which I described up ^ there</div>The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-45709005583287886692010-04-03T20:21:00.000-07:002010-04-03T21:20:17.243-07:00Daily Journal 04-03-10<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Today was very exciting and made me a little bit sad at the same time. The sadness came from the fact that the new iPad came out this morning at 9:00 and I didn't have enough money to buy one. But as I got over my sadness I had an extremely awesome day! This morning like yesterday morning, very relaxing. We got up, had breakfast and swam in and laid by the pool from 8 o'clock to 10. This was where all of us got very excited, we were about to go to a Major League Baseball game which just so happened to be the first MLB game for everyone in the family. It was a very awesome game we sat right behind third base and under a canopy that shielded us from the scorching sun. Although we had the canopy my mom still managed to get sunburn. The food was also amazing, minus the fact that every time we bought something it was five dollars out of pockets. One of the best items of food was this thing called "Italian Ice" it was shredded ice that was flavoured like sno-cones with the syrup. It reminded me alot of sorbet. If I was a food critique I would rate the "Italian Ice" as a 10e^120 as it came in little plastic baseball helmets, one of the highlights of the game! Something that was a little disappointing about the game was because it was a spring training game it didn't go to a tenth inning when at the end of the ninth it was tied 10-10. So the final score 10 Cincinnati Reds and 10 for the Cleveland Indians. When the game was over we all really wanted to go to the super-target, so that is what we did. The super-target didn't really impress me as I expected lower prices and to be very different stores I've ever been to. Neither of these traits appeared as it had all the same shelving/arrangements and same brands as Zellers and I have seen lots of better prices elsewhere. Despite the fact I saw neither of the things I wanted to see I still bought a little toy for 10 dollars, it was a little finger bike that I have wanted for a long time and have never found in Grande Prairie. After we finished there we went to the store right next door called Ross Dress For Less. It very much resembled a Winners, except with even lower prices. I didn't buy anything but my mom hit a jackpot! She found 6 pairs of high-heels and two pairs of flip-flops. All of which she bought for the price of one of the 6 pairs of high-heels back in G.P. We all looked like we had been beaten with a stick and we still look that tired, so we came home and relaxed in the pool, which brings us to now where only my dad and I are awake.<div><br /></div><div>Very good day!! :)</div>The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-91145334201882403432010-04-02T19:39:00.000-07:002010-04-02T20:08:25.735-07:00Daily Journal 04-2-10Today, Friday, was quite a nice day, with the exception of waking up at 4:30 in the morning to find myself sleeping on the couch. After that my family and I had quite a relaxing day. The most exciting things we did today were go to the Walmart super-center and find enough food to last us for two weeks at an amazing price, and lay by and play in the pool. After we got changed we did nothing. Even for being relatively lazy we had an amazing supper, which consisted of potatoes, pork chops and green beans with leftovers. Another very awesome part of this day was in the houses backyard today I saw my first hummingbird and it was very pretty, blue, green, yellow and black. This brings us to now which is half of the family sleeping. Tomorrow will be very exciting as we are going to all of our first major league baseball game. :)The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-62001578328771232272010-04-02T10:09:00.000-07:002010-04-02T13:59:41.798-07:00My Daily Journal 04-1-10Today was soooo busy. This morning I was in Edmonton then went to the airport to wait for 4 hours and read the entire Diary of a Wimpy Kid; Dog Days book. Then we boarded the flight to Phoenix. After we got there and picked up ALL of our luggage and hopped on a bus to go to the rental car place, on the bus our family encountered a world series poker player that became quite fond of us. When we got to the rental place we went through all of the paper work. When we got to our car we crammed all 7 of our bags in to a toyota camry only to drive about 30 miles to our house in goodyear. I also got to watch the early episode of survivor on the plane, so I was very happy! But just as Jeff Probst was about to say the last vote the flight attendant turned off the entertainment :(The Guy That Loves Almost Everythinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12575215268270202065noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047148001320669696.post-23920475675865980142010-03-09T12:29:00.000-08:002010-03-09T12:33:36.922-08:00Realization....I have realized that since the Apple iPad keynote I haven't made one post on my blog so I decided to post a post just to post.
