Woah, has it been a while since i have done a blog post. But now I am going to be getting into the swing of things again and update at least three times a week.
Since my last post at the apple store in West Edmonton Mall TONS of things have happened! Starting off with the first major event since then, I broke my arm this summer, but not on just any day. This day was 8 hours after i had been let out of school for the summer, so there went my entire summer. The break I might add was very bad. I broke the radius (the larger arm in your arm) clean through near the wrist and the ulna (the other bone) in two spots. Not to mention how when the radius broke the part closer to the wrist went underneath the other part bending my arm 3/4 of the way down my arm and making it look like a "C". I will upload the pictures to the post after this. So two hours later I am waking up from the sedative after they (doctors) pulled my arm apart and moved it sideways back together. Not only did this prevent me from MTB biking but I was also about to be on a special golf team, so there goes that opportunity. Fast forward the rest of the summer and one more of those events where the doctors pull your arm apart and move it back together (by the way it is called a "closed reduction") I got my cast off just in time to go back to school.
So now it is school time and since my cast I have started running again, and I was having so much fun so I joined the X/C running team at school. This was going great I was improving my time nearly every practice. We were waiting until zone championships on October first. So many practices gone by and it is time for zones. It was a 1 hour drive out to the trails at dreamers lake and I was PUMPED! After waiting for everyone else's' sections to go, my section started and we were off and running. I had a great pace and minus the hills I was doing great, but then at the 2.5 kilometre mark I tripped on a root and hurt my knee (which landed on another rather large root). This really buggered up my knee and has been hurting ever since. But about 1 month ago it brought my other knee into the hurt and then I started to get worried that something was seriously wrong. so I iced it whenever it hurt and just waited it out. Ignoring these pains I decided to join the basketball team, which I absolutely loved. But late this january I was playing king of the hill and I fell right onto my arm that I broke and hurt it again. Thinking that it might be broken Mom booked a doctors appointment. When I went I decided to tell him about my knees as-well (Turns out my arm was just badly sprained). The doctor touched my patella and asked me if it hurt and I said "yes" then right away he said that I had Osgood Schlatters disease. This is a disease where your growth plate under the patella is inflamed and needs to die and then grow back. The only cure for this is rest and also to be resting for about three months so good bye basket ball, see you next year. This was about two weeks ago and I have been in agony for not being able to play basket ball. Oh well...
However to this post there is something that is very positive. In a post a while Back when I said that I was fed up with PC's and wanted a Mac. My dream finally came true, Twice! For my birthday in 2010 I got an iPad (which in my daily Phoenix post I made clear that I wanted). It sure was a good thing I had it because last summer would have been a lot more boring with out it. Also fro having great marks in school and for doing other technology and school related things, my parents (just tonight) bought me a 13" MacBook Pro. I absolutely love it and can't wait to see what potential this can bring.
Well I think that this is enough rambling for tonight so, Good Bye!
